Disclosure policy
As of October 1, 2026, Volt & Ledger has no affiliate links, no advertising, no sponsors, and has received no free products. Nobody pays us for anything on this site.
If that changes
We may one day join an affiliate program, where a retailer pays us a small share of a sale when you buy through our link, at no extra cost to you. Before any paid link goes live, these rules apply:
- We update this page first. It will list every program by name, with any disclosure wording that program requires.
- We label the link where it appears. A clear disclosure sits next to every paid link, not only on this page, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements.
- The math never changes. Our calculators use government data. No commission touches a figure on this site.
- We don't sell rankings. Nobody can pay to be our pick or to rank higher in the EV finder.
- We say when we haven't tested something. If a recommendation is based on specifications rather than hands-on use, we say so.
- We say what's wrong with things. A recommendation with no drawbacks listed is an advertisement, not a recommendation.
Advertising
We don't run ads. If we ever do, we'll name the ad network here and update our privacy policy before the first ad appears.
Our sister site
Volt & Ledger is a project of nexusEVnews, and links between the two sites are our own, not paid placements.
